Get started with System9

System9 is a distributed superintelligence: many models, agents, data sources and sites working as one intelligence under one executive function. It is delivered as a data platform, an agent platform and a governance plane on one substrate, and it runs the same way in a cloud account, in your own facility, or on a network with no path to the internet at all.

This hub is the shortest path from "what is this?" to a cell serving work with a device attached to it. Read in order, or jump to the quickstart if you already know why you are here.

Understand it

PageWhat you get
What is System9The platform in one read: the substrate, the cell, the estate, and what runs on it
Why System9The positioning: why the architecture is the product, what it means to reach everywhere, and why agents are the primary users
Use casesSeven workloads people bring to the platform, and the capabilities each one lands on
By industryThe same platform seen from a regulated enterprise, healthcare, financial services, or a multi-cloud estate
The intentWhy the platform is shaped this way: the conditions intelligence needs in order to grow, and what happens when they are absent

Run it

PageWhat you get
Quickstart: your first cellLaunch a cell from a machine image, watch it mint an organization, a node, and its own identity, and confirm it is serving
Quickstart: your first deviceEnroll an Edge Agent against that cell, or run one sovereign with no cell at all, and verify what it did
Choose a deploymentPosture, scale, connectivity, and device profile, before you go to production
TutorialsEnd to end walkthroughs: operate air-gapped, verify an Exchange listing offline, discover an estate
Do the cell first

The Edge Agent can run sovereign with no cell at all, and that is a real deployment rather than a fallback. But the platform is the cell, and a device that has never had a cell to talk to shows you a fraction of the product. Stand up a cell, then attach a device to it.

Then go deeper

The product areas:

  • Data Platform for the catalog, lakehouse, object storage, messaging, pipelines, governance, and the Data Exchange.
  • Agent Platform for the agent runtime, orchestration, tools, skills, models, coding agents, and the decision gate.
  • Intelligence for turning observation into decisions, from a sensor to a call.
  • Security for identity, deny-closed governance, signing, classification, and audit.
  • Platform Architecture for the cell model, the estate, and how core and edge are one product.

And the surfaces you reach for once you are running: Solutions, Industry Packs, Observability & FinOps, Administration, and the Reference tier.
